DEADLINE EXTENDED: APPLICATIONS FOR THE DOCTORAL PROGRAM CAN BE SUBMITTED UNTIL MAY 16, 2021

For admissions in October/November 2021, four scholarships for the doctoral program “Ethics and Responsible Leadership in Business” will be awarded. The application deadline is May 16, 2021.

The membership in the doctoral program "Ethics and Responsible Leadership in Business" offers a variety of opportunities for scientific and professional networking. Also, doctoral scholarships financed by the Karl Schlecht Foundation (KSG)and the HaVo Foundation will be awarded. The scholarship includes a monthly stipend of 1,350 € and research allowance of 100 €. A membership in the doctoral program without a scholarship is also possible. A total of up to seven new members can be accepted. Further candidates will be assisted with applying for other doctoral scholarships, for example by putting them forward for a doctoral scholarship by the Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft (sdw).

The dissertation projects of applicants must fit to the thematic focus of the doctoral program and the research interests of the supervising professors. Applicants should familiarize themselves with the professors’ research interests on the program’s website:

Applicants’ dissertation topics can directly relate to one of the topics proposed by the supervising professors but are not limited to these topics.

One particularity of the HaVo scholarship is that the research proposal should relate to neuroscientific research. We do not expect the candidate to do neuroscientific studies, but the proposal must draw on findings from the fields of neuroethics and/or neuroeconomics. Examples include neuro-studies on moral judgment, trust, and cooperation. The dissertation project of applicants must fit the thematic focus of the doctoral program, the tendered scholarship, and the research interests of the supervising professor Dr. Philipp Schreck.
